Dune: Part Two - Movie Review (No Spoilers)

The only sad thing about walking out of a theater after watching one of the best films of the decade is knowing that you won’t be seeing another one like it for a long time. I think it is fair to say the rest of the film industry will have a lot of work to do in order to take best picture away from Dune: Part Two. And looking at the release calendar for the rest of the year, I just cannot see it happening. The film picks up right where it left off in Part one, which is beneficial to those who watched the 2021 film before going into Part two. The film also does a good job of naturally summarizing the first film for those who had forgotten some of the plot details. Don’t worry if you have not yet seen the film, as this review will be totally spoiler free. I am assuming that most people who are going to see Dune this weekend have not read Frank Herbert’s original novel, but this film is going to be equally enjoyable for both the people who have and had not. I think if I had seen this film in theaters, I probably would have enjoyed it much more, but I believe it still gets the job done at home. Directed by J.A. Bayona, Society of the Snow stars Enzo Vogrincic, Agustin Pardella, and Matias Recalt. It tells the true survival story of an Argentinian Rugby team that had their plane crash in the Andes mountains.
